Mudjacking is a process that raises sunken concrete back to its original level. This unique process will restore sunken or uneven concrete slabs close to their original grade and alignment with surrounding concrete slabs.

Why has my concrete settled?

There are many different reasons,-sometimes in new construction, the backfill around the foundation is not compacted properly. This will create voids and the concrete may settle. The backfill around utilities, such as a sewer line that was replaced, will settle over time.

How does erosion cause my slab to settle?

If the slab is on a hill and water starts running into an open crack, control joint, or alongside the slab, this will eventually wash out the supporting soil and cause the slab to settle and crack.

How does time affect my slab?

Over a period of many years the slab will settle so slow, that you just don’t really notice, but one day, for some reason, it will come to your attention.

Can excessive weight cause my slab to settle?

You may have a large vehicle, or a pile of landscaping material, etc,  that is left on the slab for a prolonged period of time. This will accelerate the settlement process.

How do rodents create problems?

Animals can create major tunneling which leads to voids.

What are the benefits of concrete leveling over replacement?

Can any concrete slab be raised, or leveled?

Generally, yes. However, when large areas have crumbled or deteriorated, replacing the concrete may be the only option.

Our concrete appears to have “raised up". Can concrete slabs be lowered?

Generally, no. However adjacent slabs can be “Feathered” or “Floated” to eliminate trip hazards.

Tree roots have raised my sidewalk. Can it be leveled?

We can generally “Feather ” or “Float” the surrounding slabs to “even out” the offsets. This will then eliminate the trip hazard.

I have pavers on my pool deck and drive. Can they be mudjacked?

Yes, we can correct your problem with a paver pool deck or drive if your pavers were installed over an existing concrete deck or drive. We would core drill thru the existing pavers and concrete slab and raise it back to its original grade. The core with the paver top would then be cemented back into the holes. The completed job would look as if we were never there.

I've noticed my yard sinking against the back of my seawall. What can be done?

If you have aging seawalls that have either lawn or concrete poured up against them and you notice them sinking, you have several options If your slab has settled, you probably have years of wear and cracks on the face of the seawall that allows water to wash the soil away as the tides come and go. This has most likely created a large void underneath your walkway or deck. This could result in a collapse and should be addressed immediately! If your lawn show signs of sinking we can inject our slurry underneath the existing grass, gravel or plants and bring them back to level without affecting your landscape, lighting or irrigation.

The Right Way guarantees no damage to your landscaping, lighting or irrigation designs.

How much does it cost?

The cost varies by the size, condition, and amount the concrete has fallen. The Right Way mudjacking provides free, no hassle, no pressure estimates.
